BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN MILITARY AND CIVIL ACTORS
The LIVEX phase of ADIN 25 brings CIMIC Units into the field, engaging with local authorities, infrastructures and institutions to replicate the complexity of real-world operations.
The activities conducted along the Livenza River and in nearby areas are designed to reproduce authentic civil-military dynamics, where the protection of civilian infrastructure, the assessment of resilience factors and the management of information flow become key operational skills. The presence of the Italian Army – with assets dedicated to mobility, communications and reconnaissance – ensures the exercise is carried out under realistic conditions, blending tactical execution with strategic awareness.
The field phase allows CIMIC Teams to practice liaison and coordination directly on the ground, strengthening their capacity to cooperate with civil actors and to translate planning into concrete action. As in the Command Post phase, observers from NATO and CCOE follow the exercise to extract lessons learned for future training cycles.
ADIN 25 continues to show that the MNCG is not only a Centre of Competence for CIMIC training but a unit capable of bringing together doctrine and practice in the field, where civil and military realities intersect.
