ADIN 25 – STRENGTHENING CIMIC CAPABILITIES IN A MULTI-DOMAIN ENVIRONMENT
From 24 November to 4 December 2025, the Multinational CIMIC Group (MNCG) will conduct ADIN 25, a multinational tactical-level exercise integrating a Command Post Exercise (CPX) and a Live Exercise (LIVEX). Sponsored by MNCG Headquarters, the activity will bring together about 200 participants from fifteen Allied Nations including the Czech Republic, Spain, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, the United States, North Macedonia, Latvia, Slovenia, Poland, Belgium and Italy together with personnel from the MNCG and its CIMIC Battalion, as well as Partner Nations.
Organizing an exercise of such dimensions is not a routine activity for the Group “Coordinating the participation of multiple nations, assets and functional components requires a complex effort of synchronization,” explained the Officer of Primary Responsibility (OPR) for Training and Exercise, emphasizing how ADIN 25 represents both a challenge and a step forward in the Group’s operational maturity. The exercise will gather NATO and Allied CIMIC Units and Commands from across Europe and North America, confirming the extensive cooperation that defines the CIMIC community.
The presence of the Italian Army with its diverse operational assets will ensure the exercise is supported by the full range of logistic, technical and tactical capabilities required for a realistic, integrated training environment. Their contribution will allow effective communications, mobility and situational awareness throughout the activities, guaranteeing the conditions for a safe and successful multinational event. ADIN 25 will focus on planning and conducting Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) operations within a multidomain and Article 5 Collective Defence framework.
Conducted within the broader vision of #NATO2030, the exercise represents a concrete step toward strengthening interoperability, resilience and cooperation across Allied Forces.
